We engaged North Van Mover for our move from Kelowna, BC to Chilliwack. We appreciated their:- Responsivieness -... responded quickly to our phone calls and e-mails, understood our concerns, and provided good answers and advice. Worked with us on moving to day to accomplish our objective to clean as they moved so we could be out of the house and have it cleaned the day of the move. Owner of the company was easy to reach and very responsive.- Professionalism - they packed all the dishes, pictures, lamps, and fragile items carefully and professionally. They listened and responded to our concerns, e.g. soling carpets, care not to damage walls and doorways, etc. They arrived at the time indicated both for loading and unloading, and understood the issues with moving into a strata managed building with an elevator.- Efficiency - 2 men and a lady did all the packing, disassembly of the queen bed and large dining room table and loading on move out day, and 3 men did the move in and set up of bed and dining room table starting at 1:00 pm and finishing before dinner time.- Good value - all of the above at less than other quotes obtained.Signed: Satisfied Customer.read more

So...best move ever! Joe took care of all details (even showed up for the move), booked it on the day we requested,... said theyd be there at 7:00am...arrived at EXACTLY 7:00. The three movers (sorry guys, forgot your names!!) were really fast and very efficient (I had nightmares about the fold-out couch. Nothing for these guys!!) This was a move to Bowen island from Lynn Valley. Could not have gone any smoother, and these guys were happy and courteous for the whole thing. Really reasonable too!! On time. Efficient. Friendly . Fun. They made moving fun. The guys were very personable and good humored. They... worked non-stop to load the van and it was finished on time. This was a long distance move to the island and they came on time the next day. Again, efficient, fast and treated our possessions with care. They even wanted to see my cat who was a little stressed out. Joe delivered on the quoted price without coming to see the contents of my apartment. I was totally impress with this company. The guys where so professional, friendy. They wrapped and packed my stuff with... extra care, to make sure everything got to the final disination the same way it left. They knew I was nervous about this long distance move and they put my mind to ease. They even took the. extra steps to personally phone me during the long drive to let me know all was good. Joe and another mover showed up. Joe would be MIA for periods of time, and when I went looking for him, since one of... the movers seemed to be doing everything (even though I hired two), he was inevitably on his phone. I asked him to get to work, and he said "micromanaging" him wasn't going to make him more productive, and then he continued along the same. Instead of running the boxes down, they used a dolly, which seemed slower to me. When I was billed, he billed me at a higher rate than we had discussed, plus he charged me fuel, which makes no sense, given that I already paid for travel time. If I am paying you by the hour, I expect you to work the entire time, especially when the move only took 3 hours, including the drive. I would guess that Joe worked 50% of the time. Overall, I wish I had just moved myself or hired someone off Craigslist. What a waste of money.read more

Very happy with the move over the last two days. 5 bedroom house all packed, moved and unloaded. Joe’s prices were... fair and the movers were responsive any and all my requests. They were on time (actually early on day one). Nothing was damaged including the wood floors moving a 435 pound commercial treadmill - an absolute beast. Joe did what he said he was going to do including dropping off materials before the move so we could box some items. You will be hard pressed to find a better moving team for the money.read more

Moving can be stressful and moving provinces even more so and one of my biggest fears was hiring a good mover. I then... found out getting a firm quote that wasn't insanely high was extremely difficult. I contacted Joe and he gave me a pretty reasonable firm price so I went with him. On moving day the movers, even though they were coming from North Van to New West during morning rush, were early. Loading up the truck was extremely quick. They arrived at our new place early as well and again, very quick unloading. The overall experience was great and a huge relief. Definitely would recommend North Van Mover for the fact that you'll get a fair and firm price backed by awesome service. Thank you.read more

Moving house is rated on the 'stress-scale' as just below divorce, illness, financial loss, etc. If this is true (it... is!) then North Van Mover: Joe and his crew, R., S and C are MOVING THERAPISTS! These guys talked me off the 'ledge': they were friendly, easy, fast, respectful of my belongings and both houses. The quote that Joe provided did not change despite the huge increase in the price of fuel. And that quote was the most reasonable of 2 others. This company has my highest recommendation.read more

I requested quotes from several moving companies for a move at the end of Aug 2021. NorthVanMover provided the quickest... and the best estimate rate. Not only did I get a reasonable and fair rate, I got excellent service. Joe, took lots of time to talk with me answering all my questions and customized the job for exactly what I needed. I needed something moved from one room to another in my home. Such a small job is sometimes not worth the trouble for... moving companies. Joe phoned back shortly after I left a message and arranged to come the following day. They called ahead to let me know when they would be arriving and they were prompt, careful, and considerate while in my home. Thanks for your help Joe and Jesse! I moved a 2 bedroom apartment from Kelowna to Richmond beginning of June. North Van Mover was the only company that... gave me a a very competitive flat rate that included everything, no hidden fees no nothing. The team was very professional and took care of my stuff. They were quick and thorough. Pickup in the afternoon on Friday (took about 2 hours) and delivery was as agreed early morning on Saturday (another 2 hours). I am very happy with the outcome and would use them again. Highly recommend.read more

Our overall experience with North Van Mover was very good. We only had 3 weeks until we had to move so we were browsing... online to see which moving company to use. We stumbled upon North Van Mover and have read other positive reviews so we decided to give them a try. Joe, the owner, was very interpersonal and easy to talk to. We paid a deposit via e-transfer to secure our moving date and 3 movers with him. He was quick to reply and confirmed our move. We have a two bedroom apartment, but have belongings/furniture equivalent to a four bedroom apartment. Some of our furniture also do not fit inside elevators. So naturally we were quite worried. We sent Joe pictures of our belongings one week before we are scheduled to move so he had an idea. On the day of the move, the movers were late to arrive. Joe said it was due to internal booking error. However instead of 3 movers, he brought us 6 movers (3 regular rate, 3 discounted rate). We were glad he did, because it took 6 movers a total of 8 hours to move everything that day! They were strictly moving our belongings, as we had done all the furniture packaging ourselves beforehand. Joe also cancelled the job the movers had following from our place so they can extend their hours and help us finish our move. We were quite touched by the gesture. Joe also sent a 9 ton truck and it was packed to the brim. Matt, who was the driver and supervisor, was also very helpful. He managed to pack everything in without wasting any space in the truck. The movers were very professional and hard working. They took turns offloading and moving all our belongings in a smooth and consistent pace. We were quite impressed and thankful for their service. We will definitely use them again!read more

We just moved from the Lower Mainland to Vancouver Island this past weekend. For a number of reasons, this move was the most stressful thing we have ever done...except for the actual move itself. A HUGE thank you and kudos to Joe and his team -- Jesse, Chris, Cory and Grant. They instantly put us at ease with the way they handled all of our worldly possessions. They were punctual, quick, efficient, friendly, professional and handled our belongings with extreme care. We couldn't possibly be more impressed! Thanks guys!!
